First Discussion

Eleanor says she and Park are too young for true love. Do you believe that? Do you think Eleanor believes that?

Is there such a thing as finding your true love while still in high school?

2014-2015 School Year

We are at the beginning of another school year! Summer certainly flew by for me. Last year, we didn't seem to have much interest in picking out a book for our book club, but we will try again this year!

The book club blog is meant to be an easy to participate and hopefully an enjoyable read with great discussion. You can post discussion questions to the blog or comment to other's questions at your convenience- whether this is at home or at school.

I will be taking nominations for the book that Norris Students and Staff should be reading from now until Labor Day. The final selection will be made in early September. If you have any suggestions for the book club book, stop by the library and let Mrs. Huenemann or Mrs. TenHulzen know, or send an email of the title/author to megan.huenemann@nsdtitans.org.

Have a great start to the school year!

2013-2014 School Year

Good Afternoon Titans,

We would like to do a book club again this year with the Norris High School community and will be seeking nominations for the book soon. If there is a book you think many Norris students and staff should read, send Mrs. Huenemann an email at megan.huenemann@nsdtitans.org or stop by the library and tell us the nomination.

After a book is selected and copies arrive, we will discuss a tentative date to meet and discuss how the book blogging works.

Parental Expectations

Book Club Bloggers: Don't forget to post responses via the comment section!

Augustus realizes that he wasn't in to basketball as much as his father wanted him to be in to basketball. It felt good for him to watch Isaac smash his old basketball trophies. How do parental expectations play a role in this book? In your own lives?
